Oru Kodi: Did you know actor Prem Kumar was a part of the first Malayalam serial 'Oru Poovu Viriyunnu'
Actor Premkumar is known for his humorous roles in
Malayalammovies. From his character Sundaran in 'Aniyan Bava Chetan Bava' to ASI Sandeep Kumar in 'Pattabhiraman', the actor has many notable characters to his credit. However, did you know Prem started his acting career with TV? Yes, you read it right. He was a part of some of the evergreen serials in 'Doordarshan'.

Prem Kumarwas seen as a guest. Along with playing the quiz, the actor also spoke about his early stages in the industry. During the interaction, Prem spoke about acting in '
Oru Poovu Viriyunnu'.
"I got the chance to play the main protagonist in a movie while I was acting in 'Oru Poovu Viriyunnu'. It can be said to be the first serial in Malayalam. It was telecasted in Doordarshan before the '90s," he said.
Further in the conversation, Prem also spoke about his preparations for playing veteran politician
P Krishna Pillai.
"I was so excited to play P Krishna Pillai for the movie 'Saghavu'. I went through a lot of preparations for the same. It was the first time that I was playing a real-life person. I remember meeting all the eminent leaders of the time to prepare for the character. But, unfortunately, the movie didn't get released. If it would have come out, my acting career would have been different," the actor said.
