CWG 2022 Day 9 Highlights: Vinesh Phogat, Ravi Dahiya and Naveen won gold medals in wrestling at the Commonwealth Games 2022. Ravi produced a commanding display against Nigeria'sEbikewenimo Welson and secured a 10-0 win in the men's 57kg final. Vinesh defeated Sri Lanka wrester for a gold in women's 53kg freestyle event. Naveen secured gold after beating Pakistan's Muhammad Sharif Tahir via technical superiority in men's 74kg final. Pooja Gehlot, Pooja Sihag and Deepak Nehra won bronze medals in their respective events. Gehlot defeated Scotland's Christelle Lemofack Letchidjio in women's 50kg freestyle, while Sihag won her 76kg bout against Australia's Naomi de Bruine. Deepak defeated Pakistan's Tayab Raza 10-2 to win the 97kg freestyle wrestling. India also won two silver medals in track and field events. Priyanka Goswami finished second in the10km race walk event, while Avinash Sable achieved the same in 3000m steeple chase. The men's Lawn's Bowls team also won a silver in the men's four event. Among the boxers, Mohammed Hussamuddin, Rohit Tokas and Jaismine settled for bronze after losing their respective semifinal matches. Jaismine endured 2-3 defeat against England's Gemma Paige Richardson in the women's 57-60kg semifinal, while Hussamuddin went down 1-4 in the men's 57kg semifinal. Rohit met with a similar fate and lost 2-3 in the 67kg category.

Athletics: India women's 4x100m relay team qualify for finals

Boxing: Nitu Ghanghas reaches final in women's 48kg. Amit Panghal reaches final of men's 51kg. Nikhat Zareen advanced to finals in women's 50kg. Sagar reaches final of men's 92kg

Table tennis: The pair of Sharath Kamal and G Sathiyan advance to the finals of men's doubles. Sharath and Sreeja Akula also secure a final berth in mixed doubles finals. Manika Batra and Diya Chitale lose women's doubles quarterfinal. 

Cricket: India Women beat England by four runs to advance to the finals.

Badminton: PV Sindhu, Lakshya Sen, Kidambi Srikanth advance to the semifinal

Hockey: India men's team beat South Africa 3-2 to enter final

Never have India won three gold medals at a single CWG Games and the performance showed how the youngsters are slowly but surely starting to take centrestage.
